In the last 3 quarters only 19 games (most of them released before) sold over 1M copies in Switch, 12 of them being 1st party and 7 of them were 3rd party. Yes, their 1st party games sell very well. But they should take a look at the 3rd party sales because it is worrying compared to PS or Steam.

Single-character RPGs appear to be more popular at the moment than party-based RPGs. I think this has to do with the mechanics of RPG combat. JRPGs have been on a steady decline and were stalwart of the party-based system for decades. We're seeing RPGs move towards action-based combat systems (that frankly weren't feasible decades ago).

But yeah, Ayla should always be part of your party all of the time. Edit: Give her a Third Eye and nothing will ever touch her. Give her something to raise her critical hit stat (I forgot what it was off the top of my head) and you have this boss destruction machine that almost always does max damage.
